THE TEAM - NOT SO MUCH A TEAM AS A CLOSE FAMILY UNIT WHO ARGUE, SHOUT, SWEAR, THUMP, GOUGE, SCRATCH, KICK AND BITE, BUT ULTIMATELY LOVE EACH OTHER MORE THAN ANYTHING!

TREVOR KITNEY - The 'Old Git' and father of the team. Trevor has been building modified cars and bikes both at home and by way of an occupation for more than 30 years. The Escort is a life-time achievement ("I always wanted a full sized Hot Wheels car - so I built one!"). Total petrol-head, always on the look-out for something else to modify. Loves 'Escy' to bits, but still misses the original 'Kitney Transplant' Anglia.

JANET KITNEY - Mum to most, and ever tolerant wife to Trevor. Janet has been a petrol-head for most of her life having a brother and a nephew who were circuit racing "As far back as I can remember". Janet says she doesn't like drag racing, but is the biggest show-off in the world when we're out with the car. Protects it like a dobermann! The points on her license attest to the fact she's not afraid to keep her boot in. "....Well you were doing well over 100 when we first saw you......Let's agree on 92 eh?.....". Thanks officer.....

MARIE KITNEY - Eldest daughter and most effective team manager. The team would fall apart without her - She tells us where to be and when to be there. She also provides the hospitailty (I think that should be 'hostility') for the team and hangers-on. Jamie Oliver couldn't cook such quality and quantity of food in such cramped conditions. Marie rules the team with an iron hand. Scary, but with a soft side, unfortunately she never shows the soft side to the team! Drives a Mustang convertible on sunny days.

ELEANOR KITNEY - Youngest daughter and died-in-the-wool petrol-head. She's been around drag racing since she was six weeks old. Was driving the Escort in competition only a few short weeks after passing her driving test (in a Fiesta!). Wants to drive. Doesn't want to do anything else. Just passed her motorcycle test so there's another nutter out there on two wheels.  Nearly as scary as her sister. Don't argue with either of them.

BRIAN WAITE - Extremely long-suffering partner to Marie. Brian is truly a valued member of the family and team. Brian does everything around the pits - spannering, polishing, photographing and advising. Bri gave up loads of his spare time to help build the car and we really can't thank him enough. Has a bit of a Mustang fetish with a big-block 67 fastback parked in the garage next to Marie's '95 convert.

ELEANOR SPENDING A QUIET EASTER SUNDAY WITH THE FAMILY. Brand new tyres. No sense of how much they cost. "I wanted to please the crowd." she says. Ha! What about pleasing Daddy's wallet?
